O Tannenbaum

Last weekend I got my first live tree (since not living with the 'rents). With Mom and Dad's help, we got it in the door and set up in the stand. I'm so happy with my tree! It smells wonderful, and it makes me smile when I come in the front door. I was experimenting with some of the settings on my camera to see what kind of shot I could get without using the flash. I know it's not perfectly in focus, but I liked this one.

Merry Christmas season!

Pretty! Are those gifts I see under the tree...? Wow - I feel like I am so behind. Maybe it's b/c Thanksgiving was earlier this year...

thanks! it's a douglas fir. doug for short. :) yep, those are presents you see. I decided to try and get an early start this year on shopping, so that maybe by the end I can just enjoy the season rather than rushing around like a crazy woman.

Your tree looks beautiful AND BIG!! Also, your lights look particularly resplendent. Are they different than ordinary lights or do you just know how to string 'em?

Hey Erin, are you able to come to either the wedding or the Family Christmas party next day? I sure hope so!!!

just ordinary lights--I think its the camera setting I used :) but thanks.

unfortunately, I have to work that friday (things are incredibly busy right now. we're currently working 11 hours days--what fun!) so, I won't be able to make it to the festivities. Sorry I haven't responded to the evite--I couldn't get it to load on my computer. don't know what's up with that...but I hope it all goes well--I look forward to seeing pictures on the blogs!

I'm so sorry you have to work! I sort of suspected that you might have to. Christmas Party on Saturday doesn't start until 12 or so, so come on down!!!!!
